Surplus handguard for the Vektor R4. Briefly at the introduction of the LWS R4 rifle wooden handguards were issued to these rifles. These handguards are extremely rare and not many have survived since the SADF switched to polymer handguards in the mid 80ies.
 
This R4 handguard will not fit on standard Galil/ Galeo/ Golani rifles. In order to fit, it will require an extra groove on the outside of the barrel to have it securily locked into place. These bipods do accept the Galil/ Vektor bipods.

This R-rifle series part was manufactured in South Africa in the late 80ies, early 90ies before LEW/ Denel stopped the production of the R-series rifles and parts. During the storage and transport, the part might have been scratched slightly. We ensure that the part is cosmetically in the best shape possible.
